Silvan, in your latest video on your private LinkedIn account, you aren’t just testing a chatbot; you’re showcasing an AI that operates browsers, Slack, and other tools as if by magic. What is the core of this experiment you’ve named "Köbi"?

Silvan Mühlemann: We are currently moving past the era where we simply ask an AI questions. With OpenClaw, we are testing the latest "Agentic AI." In the video, you can see how the AI—based on Claude’s new "Computer Use" capabilities—learns to click, fill out forms, and switch between programs autonomously. It’s like watching a new employee over their shoulder as they navigate the internal CRM/ERP for the first time.

Who exactly is "Köbi"? Köbi is our prototype of an AI agent. While OpenClaw provides the technical foundation, Köbi is the "personality" behind it. He is specialized in describing processes and executing them directly. It’s admittedly a bit "creepy" because you have to grant him full access to be truly productive. That’s a significant step when you consider everything he is capable of doing.

In the video, you emphasize that these types of agents can be "always on." What does that mean for the daily work routine? That is the crucial point. A normal bot waits for a prompt. An agent like Köbi works 24/7. He checks in regularly: Are there new emails? Has a status changed in the project management tool? Do I need to remind someone? This relieves teams of repetitive tasks.

Was there a specific moment that particularly fascinated you? Yes, the moment of self-correction. When the AI hits an obstacle, it doesn't just crash; it stops and thinks: "What would a human do now?" It keeps going until it works. This shows that we are moving away from rigid scripts toward genuine problem-solving skills. Köbi is essentially learning "on the job."

How secure is all of this? In the video, we see the AI has full access to the computer. That is the most important question. With Köbi, we are currently relying on a "human-in-the-loop" approach for this test. Plus, I monitor exactly what he is doing at all times.

3 Quick Questions to Finish:

  • Clicking or Typing? "In the future, AI will click and execute things for us, so we have more time for complex tasks."

  • Köbi or Claude? "Claude is the brain, but Köbi is the hand that holds the tool."

  • When is OpenClaw a success for you? "When we can deploy these kinds of assistants across the entire company for repetitive tasks, allowing us to focus even more consistently on the complex challenges of our clients."
